Glenda Woods Girls University (GWGU) Summer Camp
Glenda Woods Girls University is a full-day summer day camp for girls in 1st-5th grade. Each week has a different theme and includes core activities in art, science, reading, and sports. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided. Weekly field trips and swimming!
For girls in 1st-5th grade (ages 6-10)
- Cost: $150/girl per week*
- Duration: Monday, June 1 – Friday, July 17, 2026
- Time: 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

GWGU Weekly Themes 2026
Week 1: June 1st-5th Strong, Smart, and Confident!
Girls will build confidence by working together through movement, games, and positive challenges. They will practice communication, teamwork, and perseverance while learning to listen to their bodies, manage stress, and care for their mental and emotional well-being.
Majors: Psychology, Public Health, Sports Management, Engineering, and Nursing.
Week 2: June 8th-12th She Shoots, She Scores!
Girls will jump into an energy-filled week focused on sports, teamwork, and going for the goal. They will explore a variety of sports through friendly competition and team challenges that build coordination, confidence, and sportsmanship. From learning how to work together to celebrating personal wins, this week is all about believing in yourself, supporting your team, and scoring big!
Majors: Kinesiology, Sports Management, Physical Education, Nutrition, Health Science
Week 3: June 15th-18th Storybook Summer
Girls will explore the stories of influential women in history while expressing themselves through creative writing, poetry, art, and role-playing, all while building confidence and celebrating girl empowerment!
Majors: Creative Writing & Literature, Fine Arts & Theatre, Cultural Studies/Folklore
Week 4: June 22nd-26th Bold Brushstrokes!
Girls will explore fearless creativity using big ideas, bright colors, and expressive techniques across multiple art styles.
Majors: Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Art History
Week 5: June 29th-July 2nd Nebula Navigators
Girls will explore the wonders of space! Where they will use their curiosity, creativity, and confidence to launch into orbit. Through hands-on activities, collaborative challenges and
imaginative missions, campers will connect space exploration to real college majors and future careers.
Majors: Astronomy, Aerospace Engineering, Environmental Science, Planetary Science
Week 6: July 6th-10th STEMinist in the Making
Girls will explore science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on experiments, creative challenges, and real-world problem solving. Campers will build, test, code, and design while learning how STEM shows up in everyday life.
Majors: Engineering, Computer Science, Biology, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Robotics
Week 7: July 13th- 17th Paws, Claws, and Wild Tracks
Girls will explore the animal kingdom from fuzzy paws to fierce claws. They will learn through games, crafts, and hands-on discoveries while learning how animals move, communicate, and survive in the wild.
Majors: Zoology, Veterinary Science, Biology, Animal Science

RISING LEADERS 2.0
Rising Leaders 2.0 summer day camp for rising 6th and 7th grade girls(ages 11-12). Each two-week session focuses on leadership skills and self-confidence with a focus on the ‘Whole Girl’, emphasizing wellness, community service, and empowerment. Girls will create lasting friendships, empowering them to grow personally and make a positive impact in their communities. It’s a girl’s world and during RISING LEADERS 2.0 girls will Get Informed – Get Inspired – & – Get Going!
Rising Leaders will have the opportunity to…
- Be empowered by uplifting and motivating sessions
- Participate in activities that inspire confidence and creativity
- Engage in community service projects that foster a passion for giving back
Cost : $150 per session

Session 1 (June1-12): Hearts in Action
Girls will come together to spread kindness and make a real impact in their community by designing and leading kindness-focused projects. By leading together, girls will turn passion into action that makes a lasting difference close to home.
Session 2 (June 15-26): Teens Take The Table
Girls will rise as powerful changemakers, tackling hunger in their community by learning the realities of food insecurity and leading impactful projects like food drives and awareness campaigns. Through bold teamwork and leadership, girls use their voices and actions to create meaningful change and help nourish their community.
Session 3 (June 29-July 10): Paws, Play & Purpose
Girls will become bold advocates for animals by learning the challenges facing shelter and stray pets designing action driven projects that make a difference for animals in the community. By working together and stepping into leadership, girls transform empathy into real-world impact for paws in need.
Session 4 (July 13- 17): Empowered & Unstoppable
As we head into our final week of summer, we’re taking time to celebrate the memories made, skills learned, and confidence gained. It’s a week of reflection, connection, and fun as our girls finish the summer feeling proud, empowered, and ready for what’s next.

Camp Program Aides (CPA) 2026
- Summer Leadership and Service Program for rising 8th, 9th, and 10th grade girls (ages 13-16).
- All CPA’s must be at least 13 years old by May 1, 2026 in order to participate.
The CPA program is a summer leadership and service program. CPAs will be partnered with staff over the summer to implement exciting activities offered each week during GWGU. Participants will gain valuable leadership skills, increase personal confidence and networking skills, learn how to facilitate groups, and be a role model for younger girls. CPAs will work with children of different ages and abilities, creating and managing positive group dynamics, and assisting campers with program activities.
All participants are asked to commit to a one week service period as designed for the session. Each session participants will participate in fieldtrips, swimming and a Leadership Luncheon with leaders in our community.
Cost : $30 per session

Ready to step into your future with confidence?
Project Accelerate helps high school juniors and seniors build community, explore exciting career paths, and reflect on their goals through empowering activities and lessons inspired by Professional Troublemaker: The Fear-Fighter Manual. Connect with an incredible group of young women and receive personalized support to chase whatever you dream of becoming.
Cost: $100 for the year
Time: 10am-4pm
Who: Rising Juniors and Seniors in High School

Program Scholarships
Program scholarships are available for those who qualify and subject to availability. Parents/Guardians must provide proof of income for all adults in the household. Our maximum scholarship award amount is $75 per week. Please submit all required documents at the time of registration; incomplete paperwork cannot be processed.
- Summer Camp scholarship applications are due by May 15th EOB
NOTE: You must first register your child for a Summer Camp/Program before your program scholarship application will be processed.
